More information

The main objective of the project is to offer the construction and renovation market : - a vacuum glazing (FINEO tempered) consisting of two tempered glass panes (post heat treatment for mechanical reinforcement of the glass) to allow to propose all sizes requested by the construction market (commercial and residential and this whatever the climatic conditions), and to offer the fragmentation functionality for safety while guaranteeing the best energy performance (U<=0.7W/m2K) over an extended life of the product compared to the classical insulating glass. The main PPS deliverables of the project will be - PRODUCT 1: "Tempered FINEO": a new range of vacuum glazing with tempered glass (without functional size limit and with fragmentation functionality) and an energy performance ≤ 0.7W/m2K. - PROCESS 1: "Flexible manufacturing process FINEO tempered and FINEO annealed": a method of manufacturing tempered and annealed FINEO on the same production tools with the closest production parameters. - PRODUCT 2: "FINEO wood frame range": a new range of wood frames (local species) adapted to the FINEO glazing (8mm) (PRODUCT 1) while guaranteeing the overall performance (mechanical, thermal and acoustic) of the overall window. - Demonstrator": two demonstrators: one equipped with standard triple glazed wooden windows and the other equipped with the developed wooden window and the tempered FINEO, these will be monitored for comparison and validation of the expected efficiency (consumption, comfort temperature, etc.) - Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD): Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of each product developed (glazing, frame, window) within the project.
