Launch the Hydrogen economy & skills for heavy duty mobility in North-West Europe • 14 octobre 2025
Green hydrogen has emerged as a major challenge in the energy transition. While no European country had a national strategy before 2020, almost all have now approved a roadmap dedicated to green or low-carbon hydrogen. However, for some applications like heavy duty mobility, green hydrogen or other green molecules will be the best option.

Green hydrogen has emerged as a major challenge in the energy transition. While no European country had a national strategy before 2020, almost all have now approved a roadmap dedicated to green or low-carbon hydrogen. Of course, the clean hydrogen won’t be used to decarbonize all the applications since the electrification is more indicated. However, for some applications like heavy duty mobility, green hydrogen or other green molecules will be the best option. To launch the hydrogen market, the European commission created the Hydrogen Valley concept. The goal of the Hydrogen concept is to create un small ecosystem around a real production project (minimum 500 ton of green H2 per year). The final goal is to create interconnections between the different Hydrogen valleys to expand the H2 activities to a cross-borders project and, therefore, create a real hydrogen market. Our program is aligned with this concept, as we will begin by presenting various hydrogen valley projects. We will then discuss how they can be interconnected. We will then delve deeper into the practical challenges of developing a hydrogen ecosystem for heavy-duty mobility:
presentations of logistics decarbonization strategies,
presentations from truck suppliers,
and presentations of H2 training courses.
