Fort des résultats obtenus dans le cadre du projet Phoenix, le projet PHOEBUS propose une valorisation à haute valeur ajoutée de carburants dans un procédé intégré.

Ce procédé intégré comprend une étape de purification des carburants (innovation brevetée) les rendant aptes à être injectés dans des moteurs de cogénération spécialement modifiés afin de viser un optimum énergétique (rendement électrique net supérieur à 45%) et environnemental (faibles émissions atmosphériques).

Dans un contexte de recherche de nouvelles solutions énergétiques pour le futur, la transformation de déchets organiques ultimes (plastiques, caoutchouc, mousses, etc.) en carburants de synthèse est un domaine d’activité en plein essor qui commence à se concrétiser par la mise en service d’unités de production industrielles.
