International

Supporting members and stakeholders in the promotion and dissemination of their solutions internationally.

The TWEED and H2O Clusters are actively working to promote their members’ expertise, both nationally and internationally. They support companies in their international expansion by organising and participating in targeted business development missions, maintaining a presence at international trade fairs, and hosting foreign delegations.

The aim of the ‘international’ service is to bring together companies in the water and energy sectors wishing to operate internationally (seeking partners, setting up projects, exporting solutions, etc.), to identify synergies in their activities to foster collaboration, stimulate exchanges and boost business.

Furthermore, the Clusters help to boost international collaboration between SMEs and research centres, thanks to an extensive network of European and international partners. This openness also enables strategic benchmarking with the regions most advanced in key technologies, thereby strengthening members’ competitiveness on the global stage.

Partner of AWEX and WBI

The TWEED and H2O Clusters are partners of AWEX and WBI for their activities related to the export of expertise in the fields of energy and water. Within this framework, the Clusters accompany and/or co-organise AWEX and WBI missions in the energy and water themes. AWEX and WBI are stakeholders in the “GT internationalisation” working groups, and we collaborate with them on their actions related to energy, water and the environment.

Partner of the International Cleantech Network

The TWEED and H2O Clusters are members of the International Cleantech Network (ICN), an exclusive network of clusters dedicated to clean technologies. The objective of this international network is to generate new business opportunities, strengthen competitive advantages and create value for companies, research institutions and local authorities in the regions covered by the clusters.

Thanks to membership of the TWEED and H2O Clusters, their members have access to several services including the ICN passport and the ICN Solution Platform. The former facilitates connections between cluster members and key local contacts in the countries represented by the ICN, whilst the latter – an online platform – allows members to find and benefit from opportunities anywhere in the world, such as sharing cleantech challenges from major industry principals or leading public stakeholders.

An Export Strategy towards Africa

Thanks to the complementarity of the TWEED and H2O Clusters, a specific Energy-Water strategy focused on Africa has been put in place, with the aim of building long-term partnerships on the continent. In order to create sustainable collaborations, the TWEED and H2O Clusters offer match-making missions, capacity-building activities, partnerships with local agencies, and more.
