SHER Ingénieurs-Conseils, a specialist in drinking water supply and wastewater treatment, is involved at every stage in the life of your infrastructure, from identifying needs, designing and monitoring works, to providing operational support. Drinking water supply Promoting appropriate, sustainable solutions for the supply of drinking water and sanitation Our teams, active in several countries, draw on a wealth of experience in the field and in-depth expertise to offer you high-quality services. We design tailored solutions that take account of local conditions, in both urban and rural environments. We offer infrastructures that incorporate both simple technologies and advanced processes. Our aim is to control operating costs while guaranteeing the sustainability of installations, which is particularly crucial in the face of the challenges of climate change. Integrated expertise: characterisation and innovative management of water resources In addition to our expertise in design and works supervision, we specialise in the quantitative and qualitative characterisation of the water resources to be mobilised, including rivers, springs and borehole water. Preserving these resources is an essential pillar of our approach. We use high-performance software for sizing and modelling, and have developed tools integrating field surveys, GIS, remote sensing and web applications for accurate diagnoses and optimal monitoring of works and infrastructures. SHER excels in surface water management, hydrology and hydraulics, dedicated to the prevention and management of flood and drought risks, as well as the dimensioning of hydraulic infrastructures and the preservation of watercourses. Managing water to prevent flooding and drought Flood prevention involves a number of disciplines, including hydrology, topography, soil science, agricultural practices and land-use planning. Our multidisciplinary teams have in-depth technical expertise and local knowledge, both internationally and in Belgium. We offer practical solutions tailored to the specific technical, economic and environmental constraints of each project. Our work includes missions and measurements in the field, which are crucial to the success of our studies. We provide overall management of projects to prevent flooding and drought. Following an in-depth diagnosis of the risks of flooding, we develop approaches based on soft hydraulics (grass strips, fascines), regenerative hydrology (slowing down and infiltration, combined with agro-ecological practices) and structural solutions (ditches, re-meandering of watercourses, retention basins, immersion zones). We'll work closely with you on your projects. Our team of engineers can offer you innovative, sustainable solutions tailored to your needs.
