En cohérence avec le Green Deal européen, le « Fit 55 », les ambitions wallonnes Cleantech, les opportunités de développement territorial du site et l'adhésion de la Ville de Charleroi à la Convention des Maires, District Cleantech vise à faciliter la transition vers la décarbonation de Charleroi Métropole et entreprises wallonnes à horizon 2026/2040. Il rassemblera de multiples acteurs, tels que des entreprises, des startups, des centres de recherche, des universitaires et des acteurs de l'éducation, autour d'une plateforme d'innovation, d'incubation et d'éducation pour accélérer le développement de solutions cleantech. Notre ambition est de faire du Cleantech District un lieu d'excellence en Wallonie, en Belgique et en Europe sur des thématiques Cleantech spécifiques. Nous souhaitons également en faire le premier pôle territorial d’une future Wallonie Cleantech, à travers les priorités suivantes :
