The Société Wallonne des Eaux (SWDE) is the leading public operator for drinking water production and distribution in Wallonia. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Verviers, SWDE serves nearly 200 municipalities, reaching 2.4 million people through a network of 40,000 km of pipelines, 1,300 reservoirs and water towers, and 376 water intakes.
