Optimizing water management in schools
Centre IFAPME de Gembloux (Les Isnes) - Site G2, Rue Saucin, 5032 Gembloux, Belgique
The CAP Construction, Eco-construction and H2O clusters have joined forces to organize an information and discussion day on September 26, dedicated entirely to water management in schools.
Action Plans
Connected online analyzer for monitoring recycled water quality for optimum use
Started
Demonstration of the effectiveness of a digital solution that continuously measures the bacteriological quality of recycled water in two different environments.
RESRECOVERY - Study on the recovery of materials contained in wastewater
Started
Technical and economic study of materials to be valorized and technologies adapted to the Walloon context (organic and mineral materials).
Hybridization system for domestic hot water production
Started
The prototype under development will convert surplus photovoltaic energy into hot water, with funding earmarked for developing the on-board software for the heating control unit.
Study on the durability of infiltration systems and the cleaning efficiency of buried infiltration systems
Started
For better water management, buried infiltration systems temporarily store rainwater and gradually infiltrate it into the soil. This project aims to study the durability of these systems and the efficiency of filters to avoid clogging and reduce maintenance costs.
Inventory and risk assessment of wastewater use for agricultural purposes in Wallonia
Started
Reusing treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation can support agriculture in Wallonia. SPGE and SWDE will launch pilot projects, requiring a comparative study with other EU countries to assess technical and regulatory risks, thus establishing a methodology for these 'ReUse' projects.
