Scope of the H2O Cluster From the outset, the H2O Cluster has mobilised a large critical mass, with the support of a large number of players involved in the various links in the value chain, from the protection and management of water catchment areas, to production, treatment, storage, distribution, purification and ..... These include public utilities, contractors, design offices, manufacturers, installers, equipment assemblers and operators, service providers and/or design consultants for water cycle operators, waterway managers and industry. It should be noted that the value chain in the water sector is vast: by way of example, the concepts of resource preservation/quality, infiltration and run-off management are key and integrated into the Cluster's scope. In addition to the "supply" aspect, which will be the core target of the H2O Cluster, the "demand" aspect will also be mobilised: we will be reaching out to all companies that need to think about water issues (water being an integral part of the SDGs, sustainable development objectives that every company is invited to follow). We are thinking here in particular of companies in the agri-food sector (e.g. breweries), water producers (e.g. BRU/SPA Monopole, etc.) or industrial companies with waste water. Objectives and services of the new H2O Cluster The objectives and services to be provided by the new H2O Cluster are as follows:

  • Networking on the basis of opportunities and challenges in the sector, in the form of working groups, B2B sessions, seminars and missions abroad.

  • To provide a meeting place to facilitate contacts and exchanges of experience, and to enable members to get to know each other better

  • Identify the strengths of Walloon players in the water sector and position our skills in local and international value chains

  • Support innovation, initiate discussions on innovative solutions to be developed, create new partnerships and take proposals to the appropriate subsidy mechanisms

  • Support members in their medium and long-term international development (commercial, capacity building, training, etc.)

  • Understand and promote sectors and markets

  • Set up sustainable partnerships between our Walloon ecosystem and international ecosystems
