More information
This project follows on from INDIC'eau and INVENT'eau. It enables farmers to continue, over the long term, the process of preventing and limiting the impact of herbicides on the chemical status of water resources, after mobilizing all available levers to combat weeds, including mechanical weeding.
As its name suggests, SUBSTIPHYT'eau is designed to replace phytopharmaceutical products (PPPs) with others less likely to damage the chemical quality of water resources. Active substances (s.a.) used for weed control on field crops are particularly targeted. These have been identified as part of the INDIC'eau action sheet, and listed in a "negative list". The comparative assessment will focus on the satisfaction derived from the uses and their impact on water. This will be done through an inventory of knowledge on possible substitutions between PPPs and the various active substances that can be used for the same purpose, depending on the pest/crop pairing. *** Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) ***
