Inventory and risk assessment of wastewater use for agricultural purposes in Wallonia
Reusing treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation can support agriculture in Wallonia. SPGE and SWDE will launch pilot projects, requiring a comparative study with other EU countries to assess technical and regulatory risks, thus establishing a methodology for these ‘ReUse’ projects.

Web platform for calculating companies' water footprint and their sensitivity to the lack of quality water. Indicators are needed to measure progress in water recycling and to benchmark against other players in the same sector. The "water footprint" is an internationally used indicator, and follows the ISO 14046 standard. The water footprint can be calculated at production site level.
The aim of the project is to extract from the standard the elements relevant to Walloon industries, and to propose a methodology and a didactic and operational support. The platform also provides recommendations to help companies reduce their water consumption and hence their water footprint.
