Rotor

Rotor is a cooperative design office focused on the organization of the material environment through research and design. We work on architecture and interior design projects, as well as exhibitions, publications, and policy proposals. Our goal is to develop critical approaches around sustainability, circularity, and the economy of materials. In 2016, we launched **Rotor DC**, a spin-off project dedicated to the sale of reclaimed building components. This project allows access to reusable materials, contributing to the circular economy in construction. We also offer design services, integrating reclaimed materials into custom projects, especially for interior fittings. We assist other design teams by identifying reusable materials in existing buildings, developing reuse strategies, and maximizing the integration of these elements into new projects. Research is at the heart of our work, with some projects specifically focused on sustainability and circularity. We are also committed to education and collaborate with a wide network of experts to advance material reuse practices in architecture.
