The applications concern environmental flows, new materials and their shaping processes.

The main research themes are :

  • Fluid mechanics (granular flow, suspensions, turbulence).

  • Solid mechanics (composite materials, damage mechanics) Oceanography and integrated modelling of natural and anthropogenic effects

  • Numerical methods (finite element methods, adaptive methods, stochastic methods)

  • Algorithms for scientific computing (mesh generation, parallel computing)
