We trade and deliver energy from this power plant on the most relevant markets, and most importantly, we make its flexibility available to grid operators to support the Belgian power system. As a result, we generate new income streams for our virtual power plant participants all while minimizing the risk of blackouts in Belgium. Additionally, Next Kraftwerke uses or sells the energy produced by our clients on relevant electricity markets: the futures market, the day-ahead market, the intraday market, and the balancing market.Knowledge & Skills

• Revenue generation using the flexibility of small and mid-sized plants in the power and regulation services markets

• Power trading (buying and selling) on short- and long-term markets (Belpex, ICE Endex), purchase of green certificates

• Specialization in renewable and sustainable energy, particularly CHP units, biogas and biomass plants, and hydroelectric units

• Operation of a virtual power plant to manage flexible production and demand (with more than 2,500 connected units)
