The SAM team has specialized in environmental metrology of polluted atmospheres since 1995.
Original through its research activities on environmental odors, it also carries out work on the quality of indoor air and gaseous emissions linked to waste recovery processes.
The metrology of urban air quality at the district level is under development.
Air pollution is the cause of more than 350,000 premature deaths in the EU each year. This is pollution that cannot be ignored, and which has a major health impact on a global scale.
Monitoring polluted atmospheres is essential for understanding the phenomena and for setting up air quality improvement plans.
