Ecoptine
The project aims to provide an optimal (and renewable) energy source for rail traction, thus allowing a gain in terms of cost and performance. Its objective is to design a solution for the accumulation and storage of energy (via an inertia flywheel) and a system for connecting to the energy distribution network.

Le délivrable principal consiste en la conception d’un système de stockage d’énergie au sol par volant d’inertie, à travers les étapes suivantes :
étude et dimensionnement du système ;
réalisation d’un démonstrateur : partie mécanique permettant le stockage d’énergie et partie électrique assurant la liaison entre cette partie mécanique et le réseau ;
installation du démonstrateur dans un poste de stockage débarqué relié au réseau ferroviaire.
L’ensemble fera l’objet d’une campagne de mesures.
