More information

Through the creation of a technological industrial sector for the dismantling, disassembling and dismantling of end-of-life aircraft on the Charleroi aeropole site, PLANUM aims to reuse and circularise end-of-life aircraft. The objective is to provide an environmental benefit through optimal management of the end of life of the oldest aircraft (estimated at between 700 and 1000 in the next 10 years).

Through the association of two industrialists, research centres and universities that are experts in their respective fields, this project aims to offset the costs of dismantling by revaluing the parts and materials recovered, so that those involved in this sector do not have any economic argument not to recycle their aircraft.
